Jim Schwanda is president and founder of Universal Solutions, a small consulting firm that develops custom software applications. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and Rutgers University respectively. He is also a licensed professional engineer in the State of New Jersey.

Mr. Schwanda has extensive hands-on experience using both FORTRAN and C/C++ in real-time and interactive environments with a concentration on graphical user interface applications, modeling, simulation, process control and data base management systems. He is proficient with OpenVMS, Windows NT/95 and Unix internals.

He has developed many training systems for the oil and gas industry that are staged in numerous locations throughout the world. In addition, he has designed and developed custom data base applications, installed homogeneous and heterogeneous network systems, and most recently has created websites for a diverse list of clients. His wide breadth of expertise and attention to detail makes Mr. Schwanda the ideal candidate for all jobs.

Previously Mr. Schwanda was a Senior Application engineer with ABB Simcon, a Project Engineer with Trident Computer Resources, and a Process Engineer with Fuller Company. In addition to being a professional engineer, he is also a member of The American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Since 1990, Mr. Schwanda has been an active volunteer for Special Olympics New Jersey, a non-profit organization that provides athletic training and competition for children and adults with mental retardation. In his spare time, he plays hockey at the local ice rink, coaches his daughter's softball team and takes his son to Lehigh football games.
